Since labor day weekend is a big grilling weekend, I thought I’d share this recipe. I’ve never made this before or even heard of it before but we will be grilling this one day this weekend. This recipe was at the back of this little magazine our electric company sends out once a month. From time to time, they will have some very tasty looking ones.
This photo is not mine, seeing as how I have not made it yet. This photo is courtesy of Taste of Home’s website. Continue reading
I’ve made a previous entry on Scentsy before. I’m a loyal customer and have been since 2009 or 2010, I can’t remember exactly when it was that I went to my first home party and placed my first order. I can tell you once I received my first order, I quit buying candles. I’m currently hosting a online party with an AMAZING consultant, who just so happens to be a GREAT friend of mine. I’m doing a long distance basket party. She’s in NV and I’m in NC. Wondering how this works? Well.. she sent me books, wish lists, testers of all the scents, even a little surprise gift. ( Yes, she IS that AMAZING!!!) The new scents don’t even hit until September 1, but if you are curious as to what they smell like, below I will do my best to describe them. Everyone’s noses are different, so you won’t smell the exact same things I do or even like the same type scents I like. If it sounds good, take a risk and try it! 🙂 Continue reading
This cake is a HUGE hit whenever I make it. I don’t have a photo of it right now, I did but I can’t find it anywhere on my computer. I promise though, I will post a photo later on. 🙂 For now, a google image of the cake mix I use for this cake will have to do.
What you will need:
- Chocolate Fudge cake mix ( or any chocolate cake mix, chocolate fudge is my favorite for this)
- cool whip
- 1 can of sweetened condensed milk
- oreos (crushed)
First, prepare your cake mix according to the directions on the box. Once it’s finished baking, as soon as you pull it out of the oven, use a butter knife or fork and poke holes all over the top of the cake. I always poke TONS of holes so that the sweetened condensed milk can seep throughout the cake. Once you have poked holes all over the top, pour your sweetened condensed milk all over the top, immediately move to the refrigerator. Let cool in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
Once it’s cooled, top with cool whip and crushed oreos. Return to the refrigerator until you’re ready to eat it! I don’t recommend leaving it out for long periods of time, as it is best cooled. Enjoy 🙂
Have you ever went in Michael’s or Hobby Lobby and saw all the beautiful flower arrangements, only to notice the outrageous prices they charge for them? I have and thought to myself I can do something just as beautiful for way less than what they charge. I’ve made several arrangements and wreaths over the last 2 years. They are very simple and very easy to do. Continue reading
A friend of mine posted a picture of this pie on her facebook, I saw it and immediately begged for the recipe. It is one of the best pies I’ve ever had!
